I have always been Honoured to Serve my Community, and I am Ready to Lead as the next Mayor of Caledon.  It has been an honour and privilege to represent the residents of Caledon as their Ward 5 Area and Regional Councillor since I was first elected in October 2000. I have lived in Caledon for 30 years and raised my son in a community I love. Before joining Caledon's Town Council in 2000, I worked in the healthcare sector.  Outside of Government, I previously owned and operated a Multi-Disciplinary Medical Clinic.

As a mother and experienced small business owner, I understand the value of a dollar. My vision of my elected representative's role in Caledon focuses on working for the people and respecting taxpayers and their wallets.  With over 20 years of service to the people of Caledon, I gained tremendous insight and understanding into many different areas of both Local and Regional Government.  This knowledge and experience have proven invaluable in my many years of serving the residents and businesses of Caledon. 

I currently serve and have served on the following committees:

• Health Services in Peel Region (Chair)

• Health System Integration Committee 

• Accessible Transportation Master Plan Council Advisory Group

• Emergency Management Program Committee (Chair)

• Strategic Housing and Homelessness Committee (Chair)

• The Seniors Taskforce

• Regional of Peel Accessibility Advisory Committee

• Interim Period Approvals Committee  (Vice-Chair, Health Section)

• Waste Management Strategic Advisory Committee

• Public Works Region of Peel (Past Chair)

• ROPA 30 Appeals Oversight Committee

• Hanlan Feedermain and Mississauga City Centre Subtransmission Main Advisory Group

• Caledon Community Golf Tournament Committee

• Bolton Business Improvement Area

• Director of the Humber River Hospital Foundation Board

• The Executive Director of the ETA Vaughan Women's Shelter

Serving on these committees fostered opportunities to work with many of our residents in Bolton/Caledon, including our youth, seniors, residents, and businesses. Over the years, I have volunteered with many different community organizations such as Caledon Meals on Wheels, Bolton Wanderers Soccer Club, Helping Hands, The Bolton BIA, The Bolton Action Site Committee, Che's Place Youth Centre, The Meaghan Zaremba Committee and assisting with various fundraising initiatives for the Bolton Community. 

I have dedicated my adult life in Caledon to bringing our community together and unifying the Villages of Caledon for the betterment of residents and businesses. I genuinely believe that we are Stronger Together!

My strong track record in delivering results for constituents and the residents of Caledon speaks for itself. We worked hard to bring many successes to our Town. Successes like:

• The Wilson Land Donation will soon become the site of a future Urgent Care Centre and Seniors Wellness Village.

• Successfully raising funds for the Senior Centre Expansion

• Securing an Indoor Bocce Facility and an Indoor Soccer Facility

• Helping Small Business Entrepreneurs navigate the process of opening up a new business

• Assisting residents in dealing with the Town of Caledon on various issues affecting their properties and families.

As I campaign for the position of Mayor of Caledon on October 24, 2022, my goal is to continue the dialogue with residents, business owners and community organizations regarding an improvement plan for the next four years. Together, we will establish community priorities and set attainable and achievable goals that will benefit all of our residents. Together will ensure a safe, inclusive, unified and welcoming community. I am committed to Caledon's Future while preserving the quality of life that the people of Caledon know and love.
